His drawings were clear and detailed, and it made all the difference to have someone like Paul Martin to make sure rthe builders were competent, control the budget and bring the project in on time.

My project was to convert the garage into living accommodation with downstairs disabled wc & shower room, create a new utility room and restructure the existing ground floor - this included removing the 'cupboard under the stairs' in order to increase space & create 'flow' through the house. The work also involved knocking through three new doorways - one of which required instruction from a structural engineer. Lee organised everything and I felt confident all works were completed to the highest standard. I lived upstairs while the work was going on and, happily, it was a relatively 'stress-free' experience - the most stress I had was choosing flooring / tiles etc! Lee and his team (including electrician, plumber & plasterer) were a pleasure to work with - their work was carried out efficiently, effectively and with as little disruption as the work would allow. Lee's motto: "A tidy site is a good site" - and it's showed! The project came in on budget and was certainly more cost effective & less stressful than moving. I highly recommend Edgecombe & Sons and will not hesitate to use them again in the future. High five Lee! Phase one of a two part work package - enlargement of a single garage - has been completed; the work being carried out in a timely and exacting manner to our entire satisfaction by this family firm of builders. Furthermore, additional work such as electrical, plumbing and render/finish to exterior walls was undertaken to a similarly high standard by skilled contractors. Part two of the agreed renovation work - replacement of the main house roof - is imminent, subject to availability of the specified roof tiles.
